Q. How do I sign up for the GEAR UP Trust Fund Program?
A. Get an application from the Site Coordinator, have you parents fill it out and then turn it in to the main office of your school.
Q. Who is served by GEAR UP?
A. Every student in the class is served by GEAR UP. Presently the classes involved are the 7th and 8th graders at, and the 9th grade at Provo High. There will be two more 7th grade cohorts added over the last two years of the grant.
Q. What types of services are promoted under the GEAR UP grant?
A. GEAR UP is sponsoring programs at Farrer and Dixon Middle Schools, Provo High School and UVSC. The programs are all centered around College Awareness and Preparation (both Academic and Financial). They include programs like mentioning, tutoring (during class and after school), reading remediation, math remediation, summer school remediation, acceleration and enrichment, trust funds for college bound students, career and academic counseling, and many more.
