GEAR UP Trust Funds
The Gear Up Grant provides Gear Up college trust funds for students. This is a by-application program which pays students for various levels of achievement in school. A trust fund will be established at Central Bank, Provo Branch, for each student who applies. At the end of the school year, money will be deposited in the student's trust fund according to the following criteria: $5 for first generation students who pass all their classes, $5 for low income students who pass all their classes, $10 for students who achieve a 3.0 GPA, $20 for students who achieve a 3.7 GPA, and bonuses which double the amounts for a 3rd or 4th term of achievement during a given school year. Fee schedules and applications can be obtained from the Site Coordinators at Farrer Middle School, Dixon Middle School or Provo High School.
